A Message from the Chief

Welcome to the Ross Police Department website. I am honored and privileged to serve as the Chief of Police for the Town of Ross.

Safeguarding our community is our daily priority. By providing fair and ethical police services rooted in kindness, honesty, and inclusion, we strive to enhance the quality of life for every resident, business, and visitor we serve.

The Ross Police Department remains committed to its reputation for professional and impartial enforcement of the law, while treating every individual with the dignity, compassion, and respect they deserve.

John Adams, Police Sergeant

Sergeant Adams began his law enforcement career in 2004 and has served with several local law enforcement agencies such as Eldridge PD, City College of San Francisco, and most recently with the College of Marin Police Department starting as an officer and moving up the ranks to Lieutenant. He has a wide range of skills that are beneficial to the Ross Police Department including being a Field Training Officer Coordinator, Range Master, Active shooter instructor, Taser instructor, and is certified as a Criminal Investigator (ICI). Sergeant Adams is also in the process of completing the Sherman Block Leadership Institute course and has been an asset to the Ross community for the past several years working as a Reserve Police Officer for the Ross Police Department.

Police

Danny Moy began with the Ross Police Department in 2005. As the newly appointed Firearms Instructor, he hopes to improve the effectiveness of the department and make Ross an integral part of the Police community in Marin County. He looks forward to many more years serving the Ross community and striving to make it a better and safer place everyday.

Officer Nicholas

Ken Nicholas began his law enforcement career in 1989 at the Fairfield Police Department as a cadet and a community service officer. In 1997, he began working as a dispatcher and reserve officer for the Fairfax Police Department and transferred to the Ross Police Department in 1999. In 2001, he returned to the Fairfax Police Department and served there from until March of 2009. Ken rejoined the Ross Police Department in April 2009 and currently manages the radar equipment for use in speed enforcement. He appreciates the opportunity to come back and work for the Town of Ross and its residents.

Paul Stromoski

Paul Stromoski began his law enforcement career with the Ross Police Department in 2003 after serving three years as a California State Parks Peace Officer (Ranger). He is a U.S. Army veteran and a graduate of the University of California at Davis. Currently, Paul is the department's field evidence technician and evidence/property room manager. He also serves as a Field Training Officer (FTO).
