A proud Marin County native, Zach brings a varied background in local government and beyond to the Town of Ross. Formerly a small business owner, sous chef, Waldorf teacher, and Emergency Medical Technician, he has served the North Bay region in a range of capacities. His public sector experience includes work with the County of Sonoma's Economic Development Board and as an aide to Katie Rice, Ross's former representative on the Marin County Board of Supervisors. Most recently, he served as a Senior Workforce Development Analyst covering Marin County with the Workforce Alliance of the North Bay. He also served on the San Anselmo Planning Commission from 2023 to 2025, giving him firsthand experience with the planning and community processes central to local government.
Zach attended Terra Linda High School in San Rafael, studied Social and Behavioral Sciences at College of Marin, and earned a degree in Political Science and Economics from Sonoma State University. He holds a Master of Public Administration from CSU East Bay. Zach has lived in San Anselmo for over six years with his wife and their two young children. In his spare time, he enjoys surfing, mountain biking, reading about history and economics, and exploring the many amenities Marin County offers with his family. His deep roots in the Ross Valley make him a true neighbor to the community he serves.
