Special Council Meeting - Flood Control
Calendar Date:
Tuesday, October 10, 2017 - 7:00pm
The Marin County Flood Control District (MCFCD) will provide an overview of the Corte Madera Creek Flood Risk Management Project- Phase 1. This phase would involve the removal of the Fish Ladder in the creek near the Ross Post Office, the removal of the concrete channel along Frederick Allen Park from the fish ladder to the Town Limits near the tennis courts, and the construction of a low flood wall along Granton Park in Kentfield. This is a public outreach effort by MCFCD to gather input from the residential community and Town Government before moving into the environmental (CEQA compliance) stages. Of particular interest will be the discussion of the modification and widening of Frederick Allen Park into the newly reclaimed riparian corridor along the creek and removal of the fish ladder.
